After a long tiring day at work, cooking dinner at home is not easy!! Being a mommy, I prefer to keep our weeknight dinner simple so I can focus on my son’s homework and after school classes. Stocking up on ready to make dishes are a great idea that help us skip eating out and save us a lot of time and money.
I found Tyson® Blackened Chicken Strips at Meijer, in the frozen chicken aisle. These chicken strips have no added breading and are made with 100% real, simple, and natural ingredients and my favorite thing is that the chicken is raised with no antibiotics, ever.
Personally I love the flavor of these Tyson® Blackened Chicken Strips and the instructions on the package are simple to follow. These chicken strips are pre-cooked, so you just heat up the Chicken Strips according to the package directions and it is ready to add to your salad or sandwich for a filling and delicious meal.
Chicken Avocado Bacon Wrap:
You can go wild in your creativity in this recipe. Bacon adds a nice flavor and taste to the wrap. My husband prefers not adding tomatoes in his wrap or sandwich so I skipped adding tomatoes to the wrap for him. My son Aldrich doesn’t like lettuce so I just used a tortilla for the wrap and cream cheese spread instead of yogurt cilantro sauce. Any sauce like mayonnaise, ranch, sour cream works well for this wrap.
- 6 Tyson® Blackened Chicken Strips
- 6 Romaine or Iceberg Lettuce
- 3 Avocado
- 1/2 cup Onion Chopped
- 1/2 cup Tomato Chopped
- 1/2 cup Full fat or Greek Plain Yogurt
- 1/2 cup Cilantro
- 1 Green chili (optional)
- 1 tsp Lemon Juice
- 0.50 tsp Salt
- 1 Garlic (small clove)
Heat the Tyson® Blackened Chicken Strips according to the package directions.
Assemble chicken, diced avocado, chopped onion, tomato, and yogurt cilantro sauce on the lettuce. Serve Immediately.
For Yogurt Cilantro Sauce: Blend yogurt, cilantro, salt, lemon/lime juice, green chili, and garlic together.
