Eggless date nut bread with oats and whole wheat flour is a vegan bread recipe. Date nut bread is a sweet and moist bread recipe with dates and walnuts.

Vegan Bread Recipe:

Dates and nuts bread are a healthy and delicious sweet bread made with oats, whole wheat flour, dates, milk, and walnuts. Though date nut bread is made without eggs and butter, it turned out soft and moist.

It is an excellent vegan bread recipe for a healthy breakfast. Date nut bread is a filling and healthy breakfast recipe for kids.

You can make date nut bread on the evening and serve it for a breakfast or you can slice the bread and pack in a snack box. I am surprised with the soft texture of a date nut bread.

Because I used oats flour and whole wheat flour that is denser than the all purpose flour.

Smart Cooking Tips:

1. I used Medjool dates in this recipe that is soft in texture. So I ground to a smooth puree without soaking. If you are using other dates variety, soak the dates in a warm milk for at least half an hour before grinding.


2. Measure the wheat flour and oats using the measuring cups. Scoop the oats and wheat flour from a storage box and level it before adding to a bowl.

3. I used whole milk in this recipe, you can use 2% reduced fat milk.


4. I added sugar for an extra sweetness in this bread, you can also replace the white sugar with brown sugar. You can avoid adding the sugar or reducing the amount of sugar if you do not prefer sweet bread.

5. You can use any chopped nuts of your choice in this recipe.


6. You can replace the whole wheat flour and oats with all purpose flour.

7. Allow the date nut bread to cool completely before taking it out from the pan. If you try to take the bread out of a pan when it is still hot or warm, the bread tends to break.

A Healthy and Energetic Breakfast:

Dates are an excellent source of dietary fiber, natural sugars, low in cholesterol and fat. The dates by itself taste sweet, so you do not need to add more quantity of sugar in this recipe. Also, dates provide an energy and make us feel fuller for a long time.

Ingredients
  • 0.75 cup WHEAT FLOUR
  • 1.50 cup MILK
  • 10 no DATES MEDJOOL
  • 0.50 cup VEGETABLE OIL
  • 0.50 cup SUGARS GRANULATED
  • 1 tsp VANILLA EXTRACT
  • 0.25 cup WALNUTS CHOPPED
  • 1 tsp BAKING SODA
  • 1 tsp BAKING POWDER
  • 0.75 cup OATS
Instructions
  1. Preheat an oven to 350 degrees and lightly grease a medium size loaf pan with cooking oil or butter. 

  2. Powder the oats using a blender or mixer. Deseed the dates and blend with the milk, sugar and vanilla extract to a smooth puree.

  3. In a wide bowl add oats powder, wheat flour, baking soda, baking powder and mix well.

  4. Add dates puree, vegetable oil and mix well. Transfer the batter to a prepared loaf pan and bake it for 60 - 65 minutes or until the toothpick inserted in the center of a bread and comes out clean.

  5. Allow the bread to cool completely in a loaf pan itself. Once the bread cooled down, run a knife around the corners of a pan gently and flip the loaf pan upside down to take out the bread. Slice and serve.

How to serve Date Nut Bread?

The Date Nut Bread can be served warm or room temperature.
