Fish Manchurian is an easy and delicious Indo-Chinese fish recipe. Fish seasoned with spices, deep fried and cooked in a Manchurian gravy.

Indo-Chinese recipes taste sweet, spicy and slightly sour with Indian spices and Chinese sauces. Chicken Manchurian, Cauliflower Manchurian, Chicken Fried Rice, Egg Fried Rice, Fish Manchurian are the popular Indo-Chinese recipes. These recipes are easy and simple to make at home, you can find Indo-Chinese recipes in many Indian restaurants too. From kids to everyone loves these recipes.

Smart Cooking Tips:

  1. Use boneless, skinless fleshy fish variety like salmon, tilapia in this recipe.

  2. You can add chopped green bell pepper, carrot in the Manchurian gravy.

  3. If you prefer thick manchurian gravy, mix corn flour with water, add to the Manchurian gravy and cook until the gravy becomes thick.

  4. Add a very little amount of water in the manchurian gravy. Also, check for the salt taste before adding in the gravy because soy sauce gives a salty taste to the gravy.

Fish Manchurian is a tasty party appetizer, easy and simple to make at home for a huge crowd. You can replace the fish with chicken and cauliflower for chicken Manchurian and Cauliflower Manchurian.

You can fry the fish ahead and make Manchurian gravy just a few minutes before the party this helps to serve the fish Manchurian fresh and warm for your guests.

Manchurian gravy is easy and simple to make in just a few minutes with the store bought sauces, onion, and garlic.

Ingredients
  • 1 lb SALMON PINK RAW
  • 1 no EGG WHL
  • 2 tbsp CORNSTARCH
  • 1.5 tsp SALT TABLE
  • 0.5 tsp PEPPER BLACK
  • 1 tsp GINGER GARLIC PASTE
  • 2 tsp PEPPER RED OR CAYENNE
  • 2 tbsp TOMATO SAUCE
  • 1 tbsp SOY SAUCE
  • 0.5 cup OIL
  • 1 tsp GARLIC RAW
  • 2 no GREEN CHILIES
  • 1 cup ONIONS RAW
  • 0.25 cup WATER
Instructions
  1. Cut the salmon fillet into small cubes. 

  2. In a bowl add fish cubes, salt, pepper, ginger garlic paste, red chili powder, corn flour, egg and mix well.

  3. Heat oil in a pan and shallow or deep fry the fish over a medium flame until the color changes to golden brown or until the fish turns to crispy.

  4. In a separate pan, heat 2 tbsp of oil (you can use the left over oil after frying the fish), add chopped garlic and saute until nice garlic aroma comes out.

  5. Add chopped onion, green chilies and cook until the onion becomes soft.

  6. Add tomato sauce, soy sauce, salt, water and mix well. Cook until the sauce becomes thick.

  7. Add the fried fish and mix gently. Fish manchurain is ready to serve.

How to serve fish Manchurian?

Serve fish Manchurian as an appetizer or snack or as a side dish with chicken fried rice.
