Gobi 65 (Cauliflower 65) is a crispy and delicious snack with cauliflower and spices. It is an excellent party appetizer that is easy to make in few minutes.
During my childhood, my dad used to bought this cauliflower 65 at least once in a week for after school evening snack. I still remember the aroma of frying this cauliflower 65 in road side shops and made me and my sister to crave for it. After I came to US, I tried making it at home. Wow!!still the same nice aroma and crispy cauliflower snacks. Enjoyed it thoroughly with my little kid with a beautiful childhood memories. One thing I missed, when I made it at home is the beautiful bright red coloured cauliflower 65.

Gobi 65 (Cauliflower 65) is a crispy and delicious snack with cauliflower and spices. It is an excellent party appetizer that is easy to make in few minutes.
- 350 gms CAULIFLOWER RAW
- 1 tbsp RICE FLOUR WHITE
- 3 tbsp CORNFLOUR
- 2 tbsp ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
- 1 tsp GINGER GARLIC PASTE
- 2 tbsp PLAIN YOGURT
- 1 tsp PEPPER RED OR CAYENNE
- 1 tsp CORIANDER POWDER
- 0.50 tsp HING OR ASAFOETIDA
- 0.50 tsp TURMERIC GROUND
- 1 tsp SALT TABLE
- 1 tsp LEMON JUICE RAW

Wash and chop the cauliflower florets into small pieces and blanch in the hot boiling water for 5 - 7 minutes or until it becomes slightly soft but still firm.

In a bowl add yogurt, salt, red chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, hing, lemon juice, ginger garlic paste and mix well. Add the cauliflower florets and mix well. Marinate it for 20 minutes.

Add the rice flour, all-purpose flour, corn flour and mix well. Make sure the spices and flour coated on florets evenly (sprinkle little amount of water, if the spices and flours are difficult to coat on cauliflower florets).

In a hot oil drop the cauliflower florets one by one and deep fry until crispy.
