How to make palkova

Palkova is an easy and delicious sweet with milk powder in just a few mins. It tastes delicious and similar to the traditional palkova recipe.

Palkova recipe with ricotta cheese:

Palkova recipe with ricotta cheese is also an easy and instant method to make palkova. It turns out delicious and perfect just like the traditional ones.

  1. Combine both condensed milk and ricotta cheese together in a saucepan and mix well without lumps. Cook over a medium heat until the condensed milk mixture becomes thick. Add crushed cardamom, mix well, let it cool and serve.

Smart Cooking:

  1. Keep stirring the milk powder and milk together over a medium flame. This helps to prevent the milk powder mixture getting burned and sticking to the bottom of a pan.

  2. Palkova gets harder after refrigerating. Before serving lightly warm up in the microwave for 20 to 30 seconds or until warm and serve.

Instant Palkova Recipes:

Traditionally, palkova is made by boiling and condensing the milk. It is a lengthy and time-consuming process. Palkova with milk powder is a quick and instant method to reduce the time. It tastes delicious and similar to the traditional one though I missed the grainy texture.
Another method microwave palkova method, it is made by cooking the condensed milk and yogurt using a microwave safe bowl in the microwave.

Ingredients
  • 0.75 cup Milk Powder
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 no Cardamom (roughly crushed)
  • 1 tbsp Ghee
  • 1 tbsp Chopped Nuts (optional)
  • 3 tbsp White Sugar
Instructions
  1. In a saucepan, heat ghee over a medium heat. Add milk powder and mix well.

  2. Add milk and cook over a medium heat, keep stirring to avoid the palkova getting burned and sticking to the bottom of a pan.

  3. When it starts getting thick, add crushed cardamom, sugar and mix well. Cook further for a few seconds until the palkova becomes thick. Palkova is ready to serve.

How to serve Palkova?

Serve Palkova as a dessert or use in the sweets like Gulab Jamun and Gujiya.
