You can make deep fried snacks healthier using the appe pan. I tried moong dal pakora in the appe pan it turned out good though little denser than the deep fried ones.

- 1 cup Yellow Moong Dal
- 1 inch Ginger
- 1 no Green Chilies
- 1 no Onion Chopped
- 1 tsp Salt (to taste)
- 1 cup Oil (to fry)

Wash and soak the moong dal for 4 - 5 hours. Strain and discard the water from moong dal.

Grind moong dal with ginger, green chilies, and salt to a smooth batter by adding water little by little.

Add chopped onion and mix well. Drop the batter little by little in the hot oil and deep fry until the pakodas turns crispy.
