Orange pound cake tastes soft and spongy with a mildly  orange flavor. This cake is easy and simple to make with just a few ingredients.

Orange glaze for cake is made with sugar and orange juice. Orange glaze tastes sweet with an orange flavor. You can use orange glaze to top the orange pound cake, orange bread, and muffins.

  1. Mix a tbsp of orange juice with a cup of sugar until well combined and pour on top of the pound cake on top when the cake is warm.

  2. Allow the bread to cool completely and serve.

  1. Cream the butter, sugar and egg together until smooth and creamy. This helps to make a soft and spongy cake.

Ingredients
  • 0.25 cup ORANGE JUICE RAW
  • 1.50 cup ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
  • 0.75 cup UNSALTED BUTTER
  • 1 cup SUGARS GRANULATED
  • 1 tbsp ORANGE PEEL GRATED
  • 0.50 tsp BAKING POWDER
  • 0.50 tsp SALT TABLE
  • 2 no EGG WHL RAW FRSH
  • 0.50 tsp VANILLA EXTRACT
Instructions
  1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees and grease the medium size loaf pan with melted butter.

  2. Cream the butter and sugar together until smooth, add eggs, vanilla extract, orange zest, orange juice and beat them together until creamy.

  3. Sift flour, baking powder and salt together in a separate bowl.

  4. Combine both the dry and wet ingredients and mix well. Transfer the batter to a prepared loaf pan and bake for 55 - 60 minutes or until the toothpick inserted in the center and comes out clean.

  5. Allow the cake to cool in the pan itself for 10 mins and remove from the pan carefully. Slice and serve.

    Hi Anto, can APF be replaced with Whole Wheat Flour, without impacting the softness?

      Hi, with wheat flour the cake may turn out slightly dense though it tastes good.
