Easy Side Dish:

Pumpkin sabzi is also known as Kaddu Ki Sabzi in North India. Pumpkin is widely used in Indian cooking. In South India, it is added to the curries and sambar. Yellow and white color pumpkin is available in the Indian grocery stores. Both are used in making curries and dessert. Kaddu Ki Sabzi is a spicy and delicious side dish that goes well with chapati or roti. It is easy to prepare in just a few minutes except cutting the pumpkin is tough. Check out the other easy Indian side dish recipes.

Smart Cooking Tips:

  1. Pumpkin gets cooked faster, becomes mushy and sticks to the bottom of a pan. Keep stirring often and sprinkle water if needed until the pumpkin becomes soft.

  2. Add spices according to your taste.

  3. Chopping the pumpkin is tough, so cut the pumpkin carefully without hurting yourself.

Health Benefits of Pumpkin:

Pumpkin is an excellent source of fiber, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, and Potassium. The fiber content in the pumpkin helps in weight loss. The smaller portion of pumpkin makes us feel fuller for a long time. It is an excellent source of Vitamin A that helps to promote eye health. The Vitamin C and Potassium content help to boost the immune system and provides instant energy.
