Rajma Masala Tikki:

Smart Cooking Tips:

  1. Drain the water content thoroughly from the cooked rajma beans. This helps the patties to retain in its shape. You can use canned red kidney beans, make sure to rinse the beans thoroughly in the water and pat them dry.
  2. If the patties are not holding the shape when deep frying add extra corn flour or all-purpose flour to the mixture.

  3. You can tawa fry these patties with only few drops of oil. It tastes good too.

Ingredients
  • 2 cups Rajma (Red Kidney Beans) Cooked and Mashed
  • 2 no Potatoes Medium size (boiled and mashed)
  • 2 tbsp Corn flour or All purpose flour (maida)
  • 0.50 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala
  • 2 tsp Coriander Powder
  • 2 tsp Salt (to taste)
  • 1 tsp Red Chili Powder (adjust according to your taste)
  • 1 cup Oil (for deep frying)
  • 1 cup Onion Finely Chopped
Instructions
  1. Combine all the ingredients together, except oil and mix well. Divide them into small portions and shape them into patties.

  2. Heat oil in a frying pan and deep fry or shallow fry or tawa fry the patties with only a few drops of oil until the color changes and the outer side of the patties becomes crispy. Rajma tikki is ready to serve.

 

How to serve Rajma Tikki?

Serve rajma tikki as a snack or patties in between the burger buns.
