It is easy and simple to make with just a few ingredients. The spices and chickpeas together make a crunchy and delicious snack. It is also a wonderful party appetizer that goes well with a glass of beer or cocktail.
SMART COOKING TIPS:
- You can use canned chickpeas in this recipe. If you are asking canned chickpeas, rinse them well with water and dry off completely using a kitchen towel. Also, adjust adding the salt because canned chickpeas already contain salt in it.
- You can add any of your favorite spices and seasonings like garlic powder and cumin powder.

Kids would love this crunchy snack but make sure to adjust adding the spices and seasonings. Whenever I make for my son I reduce adding the spices. This crunchy snack is an excellent snack during holidays because kids love crunchy snack and the smaller portions of roasted chickpeas keep the kids feel fuller and energetic for a long time.
HOW TO SERVE ROASTED CHICKPEAS?

- 0.50 cup Chickpeas Dried (garbanzo beans)
- 1 tsp Oil
- 0.50 tsp Salt
- 0.50 tsp Red Chili Powder

Rinse and soak the dried chickpeas in water for 7 - 8 hours. After 8 hours drain off the water completely from the soaked chickpeas.

In a pressure cooker add soaked chickpeas, fresh water, salt and cook up to 6 whistles and let the pressure cooker to cool naturally (if you are using canned chickpeas, skip this step just drain the canned chickpeas using a colander, rinse with water and pat them dry using a kitchen towl).

Uncover the pressure cooker and drain the chickpeas using a colander and dry them using a kitchen towel. Add oil, salt, red chili powder and mix well.

Pre-heat the oven to 450 degrees F(230 degrees C) and grease the baking sheet with oil.

Spread the chickpeas on a greased baking sheet in a single layer and bake for 35 mins or until crunchy in a preheated 450 degrees oven.

Allow the roasted chickpeas to cool completely and serve.
