There are various methods to cook white rice, but I personally found cooking white rice on a stove top is the quickest method.
Soak rice in cold water for 20 minutes and drain the water completely from rice.
In a deep pan add water, salt and bring it to boil. When the water starts boiling add rice and mix gently.
Cover and cook until the water gets absorbed by the rice completely. Open the lid occasionally and give a quick stir.
