  • 2 cup WHEAT FLOUR (atta)
  • 0.50 cup BUTTER UNSALTED
  • 4 tbsp YOGURT
  • 3 tbsp POWDERED SUGAR (if you do not have the powdered sugar handy just blend the white granulated sugar to a fine powder in a mixer)
  • 0.50 tsp SALT
  • 0.50 tsp CUMIN SEEDS
  • 0.25 cup CILANTRO
  • 0.50 tsp BAKING POWDER
  1. Cream the butter and sugar together until smooth.

  2. Sift wheat flour, baking powder, and salt together. Chop the cilantro and green chilies finely.

  3. Combine both the butter mixture and flour mixture together. Add yogurt little by little, one tbsp at a time and knead a firm dough. Cover and allow the dough to rest for 10 - 15 mins.

  4. After 10 mins, preheat the oven to 350 degrees and line the baking sheet with a parchment paper.

  5. Divide the dough into two to three portions and roll each portion into a flat thick circle and using the cookie cutter cut them into your desired shapes. Arrange on a parchment paper with a 2-inch space between each cookie.

  6. Bake in a preheated 350 degrees oven for 15 - 20 minutes or until the bottom side of the cookies turns golden burn. Avoid baking the cookies for a long time because the cookies will become harder.

  7. Allow the cookies to cool completely and serve.
