INSTANT BANANA OATMEAL PORRIDGE FOR TODDLERS

Instant Banana Oatmeal Porridge is a healthy and energetic breakfast for toddlers. Banana and dates together make a sweet porridge that taste like a dessert.

Oatmeal Porridge for babies:

Oatmeal porridge is an easy and healthy food for babies. You can easily make this banana oatmeal porridge for babies without adding milk in it. Cook the oats with water instead of milk until the oats become soft and puree it with banana and dates and serve. Make sure to cook the oats until soft and puree with banana and dates until smooth without leaving big chunks of dates. Avoid adding milk and chopped nuts when making oatmeal banana porridge for babies. Avoid adding chopped nuts because of choking hazard.

Smart Cooking Tips:

1. Make sure to add finely chopped nuts to avoid choking hazard. If your kids are allergic to nuts, avoid adding it in the porridge.

2. It is not necessary to puree the oatmeal if your toddler does not prefer pureed foods, just blend the banana and dates together and add it to the cooked oatmeal.

3. If you are making oatmeal banana porridge for babies, cook the oats separately with water and puree with banana and dates and serve. 

4. I used Quaker instant oats in this porridge, so I used 1/2 a cup of milk to cook 1/4 cup of oats. If you are using other varieties, cook according to the package directions.

Banana oatmeal porridge is a healthy and filling breakfast for kids. Banana and dates together give a naturally sweet taste and flavor to the oatmeal porridge. Banana oatmeal porridge with banana, dates and nuts taste like a dessert. Because of the sweet taste toddlers would love this porridge. Also, this porridge keeps the toddlers fuller and energetic for a long time. I used Quaker instant oats that help me to make this porridge quickly for breakfast in the busy mornings. Ingredients
  • 0.25 cup OATS
  • 1 no BANANA
  • 2 no DATES MEDJOOL
  • 0.50 cup MILK
  • 2 gms CASHEW NUTS CHOPPED
  • 2 gms PISTACHIO NUTS
  • 2 gms PECANS
Instructions
  1. Cook instant oats separately according to the package directions or in a microwave safe bowl add 0.25 cup of instant quaker oats and 0.50 cup of milk and cook for 2 minutes or until the oats become soft. Allow it to cool.

  2. In a blender add the cooked oats, banana, dates and grind it to a smooth porridge. Transfer it to a bowl and add chopped nuts (optional) and serve immediately.
